Frank Incropera is the Clifford and Evelyn Brosey Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering and the Matthew H. McCloskey Dean of Engineering Emeritus at the University of Notre Dame.

He has had a long history of engagement with the science and practice of heat and mass transfer and with energy system technologies. More recently his interests have extended to technology and policy issues related to energy and the environment, including global warming and climate change. In addition to teaching courses in thermodynamics and heat and mass transfer, he has developed a course on Energy Technology and Policy.
